The undead take over casinos in Microgaming’s new slot Lost Vegas

Lost Vegas Slot ReviewIf you’re into the zombie apocalypse genre, Microgaming has great news. After a few months of relative inactivity, they are now back with an amazing zombie themed video slot called Lost Vegas.

Set in the insides of Vegas casinos after what looks like a zombie apocalypse, you are invited to join either human survivors or brain-thirsty undead Elvis impersonators and exotic dancers. All of this while getting some real money flowing to your total balance.

Lost Vegas is a 5-reel, 3-row video slot with 243 ways of winning. But don’t be fooled: this game has a lot more to offer than just reel spinning, both in terms of visual design and gameplay.

You are first exposed to an intro video explaining the very intuitive storyline. Afterwards, you are faced with the option of choosing between teams.

You can either participate on the Survivor team, made up of healthy humans offering a Free Spins with Stash feature, or the Zombie team, with its unique Free Spins and Infection feature.

You have to choose your preferred team, but you can change from one squad to another at any given time by just clicking on the button located at the top right corner.

As we just said, each side has their own quirks, and we can’t say that one is better than the other. Apart from the Stash and Infection feature –which is basically a Stacked Wild symbol impersonated by a zombie- there are some overlaying and aside dynamics going on.

On the zombie team, you can randomly trigger the Fist of Cash feature after a non-winning spin. This feature grants you with a fixed bonus expressed in coins for you to gamble further and further, and it is represented by an undead hand rising from beneath the reels with a fistful of dollars.

The Survivor team features an amazing change of layers with its Blackout feature, consisting on power going completely off and night vision goggles allowing you to see hidden prizes in the dark. Otherwise non-winning symbols grant you different amounts of coins, so you can come back to the light with an increased number of coins in rewards.

What we loved

It has been a while since we saw such a complex and entertaining video slot. The fact that Microgaming adopted a video-game like layout and gameplay to immerse users in a unique experience was our favorite part.

Besides, payouts are consistent and quite significant, so it doesn’t really matter if you’re in for fun or for money, we can assure you will be happy by the end of your session.

What we did not like

Sometimes, the slot gets a little heavy. There is so much going on that it is a little difficult to keep up, and the main dynamic gets lost among so many special features. If you’re into conservative slots with a reel-spinning dynamic, you’re going to get bored and annoyed easily by Lost Vegas.

Worth playing?

Lost Vegas is a slot totally worth playing, especially if you’re into complex, multi-layered slots with varied dynamics. The 243 ways of winning provide you with a big enough margin for substantial payouts, making the odds be almost always at your favor.

Good graphics, amazing gameplay and consistent coin rewards: there is nothing not to love about this undead slot.
