This time, GamesOS developed a very tropical based slot. Mr. Monkey gathers a friendly looking monkey, a red lizard, a green frog and a toucan to get you through your spins. Amazonian fruits like coconuts and bananas are also featured, as well as some classic letters and numbers resettled to fit into the tropical design.
Mr. Monkey is set on a 5-reel, 4-row grid, holding 50 fixed paylines in total. This slot is single layered, meaning that it consists solely on reel spinning. There are some basic special features such as a Wild symbol substituting for all other symbols, and a Scatter symbol triggering free spins.

We found the volatility of this slot to be medium, being quite hard to get both small and big wins throughout the game.
What we loved
There are a lot of things to love about this game, and the amount of paylines is one of them. We are used to see slot machines featuring 20 and maybe 30 paylines total, both on fixed and non-fixed terms. Higher numbers of paylines are very rare, so we were more than pleased to see Mr. Monkey featuring almost twice as regular slots.

We loved the simplicity of the slot machine. Nowadays, developer bring multi-layered slots with multiple dynamics, making it very hard for players to focus on the basics of the game, which is the reel spinning dynamic.
Despite the simplicity of this slot in terms of gameplay, we have to admit that we loved the special features included in Mr. Monkey. We enjoyed the free spins triggered by the Scatters and we also loved how they featured a high-paying symbol on a Stacked feature in order to increase total wins.
What we did not like
Despite our high risk-seeking tendency, we have to say that the minimum bet size in this slot machine is a little too high. Set at $/€2.50, we are more than aware that most players will not feel comfortable putting that amount of money at stake on a medium variance game.
Worth playing?
Overall, we found Mr. Monkey to be a good game, both in terms of gameplay and graphics. GamesOS developed this slot in a very user-centered manner, allowing gamblers to enjoy the best of the best.
However, the size of the minimum bet is a total deal-breaker. Suiting only those gamblers on the high roller category, they left a lot of active bettors aside. The medium volatility of the slot makes this high stake minimum even more problematic, so we wouldn’t quite recommend it to everyone.
It is up to you to decide whether to thrive for that risk or to just move on to the next slot, of course. But if we were you, we would take it easy while betting with Mr. Monkey.
