Theme Of The Game
Spielo Games are behind the Action Jack video slot. This small-scale developer’s newest slot machine is all about an action adventure explorer, eager to discover the riches of a lost world, whilst at the same time avoiding deadly volcanos and other booby traps.
It’s all very Indiana Jones, although on a less grandiose scale. Action Jack offers up a 5-reel, 40-line structure, and it is one which can see players able to flexibly adjust their bets. Truth be told, there aren’t too many other Spielo Games slots out there, so we don’t have too much to compare this slot against from their own collection.
It would also be harsh to compare this against other similarly themed slots from other developers, and if one did so, there is every chance that Action Jack would instantly look cheap against them.
How to play
Action Jack offers up 5 reels and 40 lines as we’ve said. All 40 paylines are adjustable via the big, bold, blocked wagering menu at the bottom of the screen, and that is a plus. Players can also adjust their line bets from $0.01 up to $0.05 in total.
As you can imagine, then, wagers typically range from $0.01 per line per spin, up to $2.00 per spin. This is not a slot that is going to cost anybody any serious money. It is one of the cheapest slots on the net to play with a maximum wager stake, and that’s great.
Features
Wild symbols: Wild symbols appear as Action Jack himself (who looks like a young Indiana Jones). These wild symbols can replace all other symbols in the slot, save for scatter/free spin trigger icons. Wilds only appear on the second, third, fourth, and fifth reels of the game.
Scatter symbols: Scatter/free spin trigger icons appear as chests of gold. These symbols also double up as the joint-best paying symbols in the game, alongside the volcanos. The symbols can offer you free spins when you land 3, 4 or 5 of them in any positions on the reels.
Free spins bonus: Don’t expect an overly complex free spins bonus in this slot. On the contrary, this is your basic free spins bonus with no added perks of any kind.
However, you do get quite a few spins to play with. Landing 3, 4 or 5 of the scatter icons in any positions on the reels will see you start the bonus with 20, 40, or 60 free spins, respectively.
Maximum pay-outs
As we’ve said, the scatter/free spin trigger icons and the volcano icons share the duty of being the best-paying symbols in this slot. Land 5 scatters anywhere on the reels, or 5 volcanos on any active payline and you will walk away with 25x your total bet. That is a rather petite jackpot, but what you do want for $2 per spin?
Summary
Action Jack is cheap, which is great. Action Jack offers up decent cash prizes, and a fistful of free spins, which is also great news.
However, there is a distinct lack of other features in this game. Wilds do not offer cash prizes, the theme is quite simply an Indiana Jones rip-off, and one would have liked to have seen a multiplier or some other added feature in the free spins bonus.
Action Jack is a great addition to Spielo Games collection, but a markedly lesser addition to the online casino world as a whole.
